The hospital I work for is requiring all of its staff members to get the new vaccine for the H1N1 flu. Inpatient nurses are going to be allowed to opt not to get the vaccine and will be required to wear masks during flu season. This seems reasonable, except that all other employees don’t have this option. We must either get the vaccine or face termination. Is this even legal?
I’m not a nurse, I can’t afford a lawyer and I really can’t afford to lose my job, but I’m worried about receiving a vaccine that hasn’t been tested for long term side effects.
Does anyone know what my legal rights in this situation are?

Go get the regular flu shot and it will suffice.
This swine flu shot has many adverse reactions.To many Dr’s and nurses are refusing and warning the public ..the news media is just trying to get on the good side of these big corporations for monies sake.. don’t take a chance on ruining your life..or the life of your child.
It is better to be safe then to be sorry forever if you end up paralized or worse.
