So I had unprotected sex about a week ago, with someone who gets tested regularly and last test was negative. Well about a week later, I developed really sore tonsils, and had a high fever, about 104.5 and couldn’t keep down fluids. I went to the doctor and she tested me for mono and strep and both came back negative. She put me on antibiotics and prednisone, and 24 hours later, I’m feeling great. Yet, I am worried that because of my carelessness, that I could possibly have HIV.
Since there is always a possibility, I’m wondering how long after exposure would you start to see symptoms? How long should I wait to be tested. Would the combination of antibiotics and prednisone help mask the symptoms in order to make it feel like i was getting better, or would I still feel pretty lousy if it was hiv infection?

Friday, December 25th, 2009School has been buzzing with flu symptoms. There are lines at the nurse’s office for those with fever and a cough. We are even starting to wear face masks for those with a regular cough.
i’m developing a slight cough and want to build up my immune system before it hits.
what foods can you eat to have a healthier immune system?
how many hours of sleep would help? anything else i can do to help the immune system?
