I live with my in laws, and my mother in law just found out (a few hours ago) that she has the swine flu!
I’m freaking out. I never ever get sick, but I know the swine flu is contagious. AND it CAN kill you! I’m super scared about that. I also have a 2 month old, and she’s still too little to get a regular flu shot, so I’m terrified.
I live in the basement section of this huge house, and so does my husband and daughter… I never really go near my mother in law anyway. She knows to stay away from my daughter. Her doctor even told her that. I’m so freaked out that I’m wearing a homemade face mask… (It’s a dried up baby wipe, and a ribbon tied around my head to hold it on)
Besides wearing this silly mask, and washing my hands, what are some other ways I can avoid catching it?
Serious answers please… common sense tells you I can’t move out.

Monday, November 30th, 2009So far, the Swine Flu has not affected anyone in my area or anyone in North Jersey (where I live).
Well this weekend, for a lot of you should know, is Bamboozle. It’s being held at the Meadowlands, in New Jersey. And that’s about 45 minutes from me. For the people who don’t know what Bamboozle is, it’s multiple concerts and crowds of people close together and mosh pits, whatever.
Well it’s Saturday and Sunday. And hundreds of people from my school are going (I’m not). My high school has around 1,000 people. So since symptoms don’t show up right away, I’m alittle worried about school. It’s a half a day on Monday anyway.
Since Bamboozle shows a high risk of spread of the Swine Flu and those people, if they get affected, will be coming back to school, what should I do? I can’t just take off for days and see what happens.
What can I do to make sure I don’t get the Swine Flu, if anyone is affect?
What should I look out for?
I’m trying not to let anyone touch as it is now.
How effective are Hand Sanitizers?
Should I wear a mask or no? I saw a guy today wearing a face mask =o
